What’s new in DiaSys 2.74

This version introduces safer file handling, improved communication reliability, and extended diagnostic and service functionality across supported MTU control units.

Improvements and fixes

• File-based data transfer (Export):
  Exported data is now saved as .7z archives instead of self-extracting .exe files. Since files are unpacked directly during import, executable code is no longer required, reducing antivirus-related blocking.
• File-based data transfer (Import):
  DiaSys 2.74 supports importing both .exe and .7z files, ensuring compatibility with data created in DiaSys 2.73 and 2.74.
• CAN baud rate detection:
  A detection issue on CAN 2 has been fixed. DiaSys now correctly identifies the actual baud rate, preventing potential CAN bus disturbances.
• EIM programming stability:
  Communication interruptions after loading new functional software and parameter sets to the EIM (used as a BDM client) have been resolved.
• MCS5 parameter consistency check:
  DiaSys now compares parameter counts reported by MCS5 devices (such as SAM) with the corresponding DiaSys.dat. If a mismatch is detected, the connection is aborted with a clear error message, preventing incorrect parameter changes.

New diagnostic and service functions

• ECU-7, ECU-9: “Plants project identification” — reads and displays PU-run information directly from the ECU.
• ECU-9, SXU: PV recorder “Emission Status” — reads and displays emission-related status data.
• SXU: PV-Recorder General — reads configurable PV recorder data from the ECU and displays it in DiaSys.
• EXU-ESD: Injector wear upload and export — reads injector wear data and exports it to a CSV file.
• SXU: Crash recorder functionality, aligned with ECU-7/8/9 implementations.
• ECU-9, SXU: Reset functions for hot shutdown counters, NH3 HC counters, and HC1 / HC2 load values.
• ECU-7, ECU-9: Logged emergency start information is read from the ECU and clearly displayed.
• EXU-EMU9: New “Splash oil calibration” function.
• ECU-9, SXU: Support for the new error memory type “mirror memory” for extended diagnostic analysis.

• Dynamic autolearn and reset functions:
  If supported by the ECU software, available autolearn maps and reset functions are transmitted directly from the ECU. New functions are no longer tied to a specific DiaSys version.
