Technical Issues for Windows Users Due to CrowdStrike Update

Dear customers,

We want to share some important information. Today, many Windows users have encountered serious problems due to the latest update from CrowdStrike. If your computer has suddenly surprised you with the "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD), don't worry, you're not alone!

What happened?

After installing the new CrowdStrike Falcon update, many systems started freezing and displaying blue screens. It seems our computers decided they needed a little break, too.

Our recommendations

As a reliable service provider, we assure you that our servers are running smoothly. However, we strongly advise our clients using Windows to refrain from installing new updates until the situation is resolved.

Not just you

These issues have affected Windows users worldwide. Major companies and services have also faced widespread outages. But together, we can overcome this!

What to do?

If you encounter similar problems:

  • Do not install new updates.
  • Stay informed about the issue.
  • If you've installed the update and are already experiencing issues, Brody Nisbet, Chief Threat Hunter at CrowdStrike, has suggested a temporary solution to address the problem:
    • Boot Windows in Safe Mode or through the Windows Recovery Environment (WRE).
    • Navigate to the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.
    • Locate and delete the file matching the pattern C-00000291*.sys.
    • Restart your computer in normal mode.

However, he also noted that this solution might not work for all users, and there are no further effective instructions at this time.

Best Regards,
