Volvo Premium Tech Tool v 2.8.350 (replaces v2.7.116) is the OEM software. It's a part of the dealer diagnostic kit. Premium Tech Tool allows performing all the tests the dealerships can. Such as fault code checks, DPF regen, Injector Cut-out tests, etc. Works for both Volvo and Mack trucks.

Installation & Connectivity

The PTT software comes as a set of installation files/components. You can download the files from our server. The installation is only online. You cannot install the PTT without an internet connection.

Pre Requirements

Note: Tech Tool does NOT support Windows Home Edition. If you had a previous Volvo Techtool installed, we highly recommend reinstalling Windows. Hardware & Software Requirements available below.

Please consider that the connection to the central systems is not available.

Recommended Adapters

Volvo VOCOM II 88894000 and VOCOM/88890300 are the recommended devices.

Both Adapters work with Windows 10, 11 (Pro) versions. Moreover, all vehicle electrical systems and vehicle production dates are covered.

The latest version of the Nexiq USB Link adapters (USB-Link, USB-Link 2, USB-Link 3) is also compatible with the PTT 2.8.350, but with some limitations—there is no high-speed programming for electrical systems v2 and 3.

The same information is valid for Mack Trucks.

Capabilities

With this tool, you can diagnose, test, calibrate, and program - in one word - the reliable and high-quality service of your truck. The program also provides features for updating the tool, communication with the product and other external applications. A set of plug-ins, user authorization, and languages are configured to provide each user with what they need.

Workflow

To work with the diagnostic tool, users need to install the software ECU, and then, with this tool, you can make it usable for any dealer ID and customer ID. The basic workflow in this tool is the same for all products: identify a product, to history information, diagnose a selected product, a select product, program a selected item, and calibrate a chosen product.
