On Saturday 15th of July, 2006, the military airport in Pruszcz Gdański, Poland, was the scene of a unique race, the one that no one in Poland has ever dared to organize. Nissan 350Z, Zlin 50LS aerobatic aircraft and Bell 407 helicopter raced on the airport runway. Piotr Frankowski, motoring journalist sat behind the Nissan’s wheel, the aircraft Zlin was piloted by the triple Polish champion in aerobatics, lieutenant Piotr Wojciech Krupa, while the helicopter was flown by Zbigniew Niemczycki, famous Polish businessman.

The spectators were delighted to see the amazing displays of skills and performances of pilots and the Nissan’s driver. The perfect sunny weather and appearance of celebrities who graced the event made it an unforgettable experience.

The purpose of this event was to learn who would reach the finishing line first: aircraft, car or helicopter. Nissan was the winner of the first race, defeating the Bell helicopter, while both vehicles traveled at 200 kilometers per hour. The next race, in which Nissan matched the aircraft, the sports Zlin, who finally slightly overtook the speeding car, easily reached the breakneck speed of 300 kilometers per hour and performed unbelievable acrobatic maneuvers to win the race.
